Meet at 10:00 am at Sara’s Crack, 7260 Sara Pkwy, Lake Havasu City, AZ.

This is a moderate five mile hike with climbing that takes approximately three hours to complete. This scenic trail passes through one of the most famous slot canyons on the Lower Colorado. It ends at a scenic cove on the lake beside Balance Rock, a huge rock mass precariously balanced atop a narrow column of stone. Bighorn sheep are often present.

11:30 am Lunch at Trail Vista Bring a packed lunch to enjoy at the turn-around point with a beautiful Lake Vista.

2:00 pm We will drive from SARA park to Cattail Cove State Park, State Hwy 95, Lake Havasu City. ($3 parking fee) Here we will hikeWhytes Retreat Trail (easy) to Ted’s Trail (moderate) is a total of one mile, beginning along the Lake Havasu shoreline, providing amazing views of the Colorado River and Parker Dam.
